Led a review of a range of regulatory functions to strengthen clarity, consistency, effectiveness and integrity. The recommendations set out a new regulatory model, which the government has since implemented.
State environmental regulator
Designing a customised version of RIS Advisory's Regulatory Assurance Framework for the regulator's mandate, risks and operating context, to strengthen decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
State building regulator
Provided strategic advice on a major regulatory transformation, including dispute resolution, inspection and case management, with attention to accountability, capability and fit-for-purpose systems.
Public infrastructure bodies
As a Lead Reviewer and Reviewer, provided independent challenge at key decision points across major transport, housing and energy programs, with a focus on investment, delivery and risk.
Executive work behind the advice
Infrastructure NSW
Established an investor assurance function and designed, implemented and operated an Infrastructure Investor Assurance Framework. The work strengthened governance and independent review of major public investment decisions.
Water Infrastructure NSW
Founded a new agency to guide a planned program exceeding $4 billion in bulk water infrastructure. Accelerated project decision-making, built sector capability and developed an Aboriginal community outcomes strategy.
Queensland Building and Construction Commission
Led a full organisational restructure, a refreshed operating model, digital change, risk-based regulatory practice, a Regulatory Academy and a Regulatory Assurance Framework, while improving the performance of core regulatory, insurance and customer service functions.
